Geeta Dsouza
Geeta is the founder of Little Dragon Wellness. The clinic is a culmination of a journey that started with her seeking solutions to her own health. Because of the life-changing effects Chinese Medicine had on her and its integral part of her health today, Geeta strives to emulate her profound experience with each patient she treats. She strongly believes in educating and empowering her patients to make better decisions about their health over the long term alongside receiving the targeted support of Classical Chinese Medicine.
Geeta completed her Master's of Acupuncture Degree frrom Maryland University of Integrative Health. She has studied rigorously with nationally recognized herbalists including Jeffrey Yuen and Sharon Weizenbaum.
Geeta specializes in internal medicine and works frequently with patients who suffer from chronic conditions, including autoimmunity, gastrointestinal concerns, women’s health, anxiety/stress, insomnia, headaches and fatigue. Herbal medicine and diet reccomendations are custom prescribed for each patient.
Geeta lives with her husband in DC. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her dog, Soufflè, reading books from her local book club, practicing yoga and spending time with her two nieces, who live close by.
Joshua Warren
Joshua graduated from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in Asheville, North Carolina with his Master’s in 2017. His education focused on the classical roots of Chinese Medicine, challenging him to develop a practice that investigates the deeper aspects of disease and one that embodies compassionate healing presence. He uses these perspectives in developing adaptable treatment strategies to meet old diseases with new names.
Joshua considers health to be a dynamic process of connection and communication, rather than a sentence or a destination. The use of not simply acupuncture, but herbal medicine, moxibustion, tui na massage, daoyin movement as well as dietary therapy are all designed to adjust the biophysical process when we are unwell. His practice aims to empower individuals and to show them how health is of the highest of investments.
Joshua relocated to Washington DC in December 2017 to practice in both private and community settings, and now tends to the needs of a diverse demographic of people from varying economic backgrounds throughout the city. He has experience treating a wide-range of disorders, and has a particular interest in pain management and stress reduction, digestive and sleep issues, as well as psychoemotional concerns.
In his spare time he enjoys writing, drawing, hiking, drinking coffee, and discussing medicine and astrology with friends and kindred strangers.
